It covers this website and enquiries made through it. Work we carry out for clients is governed by the agreement for that project rather than by this page. If you have questions about anything here, email us — the address is at the bottom of this page.

What we collect and why

When you use our contact form, we collect your name and email address, your organisation and the kind of work you're asking about if you choose to give them, and the message you write.

We use these details to respond to your enquiry and manage any follow-up. We don't add you to a marketing list, and we don't sell your information or share it for marketing.

Providing this information is voluntary, but we need your name, email address, and message to respond to your enquiry.

Please don't include confidential client, student, health, or other sensitive personal information in your message. We ask only for what we need in order to reply, and a first enquiry rarely needs anything sensitive. If you need to discuss something confidential, tell us and we'll arrange a more appropriate way to do it.

When you visit the site, our hosting and font providers handle technical information such as your IP address and browser details in the course of delivering the page.

Who processes enquiries

Your enquiry may be processed by service providers that help us operate the website, deliver forms and email, and provide AI-assisted support. These providers may process information outside New Zealand. A person reviews replies before they are sent.

Storage, security and retention

Form submissions are sent over an encrypted connection. Once an enquiry reaches us, it may be stored and processed using the services we use to manage communications and respond. Access is limited to people at Botable who need it.

We keep enquiries only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, manage any follow-up, or meet lawful business requirements. Where an enquiry becomes a project, related correspondence is kept as part of our business records.

You may ask us to delete your enquiry. We will do so unless we have a lawful reason to retain it.

Access, correction and contact details

Under the Privacy Act 2020 you have the right to ask for access to, and correction of, the personal information we hold about you.

You can ask to access or correct your personal information by emailing hello@botable.co.nz.

If you're not satisfied with how we've handled your information, you can raise it with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz or 0800 803 909.

We may update this statement as our tools or processes change.
